Vancouver rain is a fact of life, and it is no reason to cancel. These indoor dates are calm, easy to reach and good for conversation. They also make a nice second date if the first one was a coffee.

Museum of Anthropology at UBC

MOA holds one of the world's finest displays of Northwest Coast First Nations art, and the largest collection of work by Haida artist Bill Reid, including The Raven and the First Men. It is open until 9pm on Thursdays, which suits an after-work date. Check the museum's site for Monday hours in winter.

Questions

What is a good rainy evening date in Vancouver?

Try the Museum of Anthropology on a Thursday, when it stays open until 9pm, or Free First Friday at the Vancouver Art Gallery from 4pm to 8pm.

Is the Bloedel Conservatory open in winter?

Yes. From November to February it opens 10am to 4pm. Check the City of Vancouver page before you go in case of changes.

They can be. A museum or gallery is public, gives you things to talk about and lets either of you leave easily if it is not working.
