Where to meet singles
Not every first meeting starts online. These are real places and groups where people get talking.
Vancouver Public Library programs
VPL runs book clubs in English and Chinese, author readings and creative writing classes. Groups like these give you a reason to come back and get to know people slowly.

Classes at your community centre
Vancouver's community centres run lessons, classes and drop-in times, and you can register online. Picking the same class each week is an easy way to meet people near home.

Cherry blossom walks and rides
Each spring the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival runs free guided Tree Talks and Walks and a free Bike the Blossoms ride of about 10 to 12 km. Group outings like these make it easy to chat to someone new.

Join a snowshoe tour
Mount Seymour runs public snowshoe tours in winter, as well as group outings. Going with a group is a relaxed way to try something new and meet other outdoorsy people.
